PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio signal encoding and decoding method and device which is capable of improving the quality of a synthesized signal by using sinusoidal pulse coding.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: dividing a synthesized audio signal into a plurality of sub-bands (S404); calculating energy of each of the sub-bands (S406); selecting a predetermined number of sub-bands having relatively large magnitudes of energy, from the sub-bands (S408); and performing sinusoidal pulse coding on the selected sub-bands (S410). Since sinusoidal pulse coding is applied in consideration of magnitudes of energy of respective sub-bands of the synthesized signal, the quality of the synthesized signal is improved further efficiently. |
