PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder capable of stably discharging an ink composition by suppressing deterioration of a surface (a liquid repellent film) of a nozzle plate by wiping.SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder includes: multiple nozzles 21 discharging ink compositions; a nozzle plate 22 having multiple discharging ports 23 of nozzles 21; cleaning fluid wetting the ink compositions adhered on a surface of the nozzle plate 22; a wiping member 31 wiping a surface of the nozzle plate 22 and having liquid absorbency; and a moving mechanism varying a relative position of the nozzle plate 22 and the wiping member 31. The cleaning fluid contains at least one kind of a saccharide, an EO/PO copolymer, and a lubricant. |
