PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem (some people solve this problem by installing a fluorescent lamp) of traditional Buddhist altars which are one of the articles of furniture a young child finds difficult to approach because it is, and has always been, dark inside the altars due to their structure, though it is difficult to understand why magnificence is associated with darkness while admitting that both Buddha and ancestors are noble and that their house, a Buddhist altar, should be magnificent.SOLUTION: In this ideal Buddhist altar which makes it possible to live safely with Buddha and ancestors: wood and transparent resin plates are used as materials of the altar so as to achieve a transparent, light-receiving structure; columns and engravings used in traditional Buddhist altars, as well as magnificent accessories and hanging tools, are minimized so that the inside of the altar can be clearly seen and ample outer light reaches the principal object and the Buddhist memorial tablet; and earthquake-proof devices are installed for the Buddha statue, the Buddhist memorial tablet and Buddhist altar fittings for memorial services so that priority is given to safety in the living room where family members live with the Buddhist altar. |
