accessing, by a system including a processor, a protocol data unit (PDU) as an input; dynamically binding, by the system, a syntax associated with the PDU for each layer of a network; selecting, by the system, a policy based on a connection-endpoint-id value; processing, by the system, Protocol Control Information (PCI) including at least a portion of the PDU; updating, by the system, a state vector based on the processing of the PCI; and changing, by the system, bindings to traverse different layers of the network.
