PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor having a high-quality image and a phase difference system focus detection function.SOLUTION: In the image sensor having multiple pixels, each pixel has a first sub-pixel with a first semiconductor layer 311, a second sub-pixel with a second semiconductor layer 312 having different polarity from that of the first semiconductor layer, a third semiconductor layer 300 with the same polarity as that of the first semiconductor layer, and a micro-lens 305, where the first semiconductor layer is included in the second semiconductor layer, and the second semiconductor layer is included in the third semiconductor layer. Centroid position of the light-receiving surface of the first semiconductor layer is different from the centroid position of combined light-receiving surface of the first and second semiconductor layers. |
