PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound reducing a mammalian blood sugar level.SOLUTION: A peptide conjugate consists of (a) an exendin having at least 90% of homology to exendin-4, (b) a variant of the exendin having modification selected from the group consisting of 1 to 5 deletions at the 34 to 39 positions and having Lys having a lipophilic substituent at the 40 position, or (c) a peptide X (where, X is not exendin-4 or exendin-3) selected from the group consisting of GLP-1 having (i) substitution of alanine at the 8 position by D-alanine, glycine or α-aminoisobutyric acid and (ii) at least one modification selected from the group consisting of lipophilic substituents; and 4 to 20 amino acid units. |
