PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for rapidly heating a steel plate, capable of effectively preventing defects in the shape of a steel plate caused by rapid heating of the steel plate using induction heating.SOLUTION: A device for rapidly heating a steel plate after cold rolling includes an induction heating device and means for imparting transversal bend to the steel plate, with deflector rolls and/or transportation rolls disposed upstream the induction heating device. A method for rapidly heating a thin steel plate by using the rapid heating device that imparts transversal bend to the steel plate prior to rapidly heating the steel plate with an induction heating device.
