1. A head attachment for a temporary support pole, the head attachment comprising:
a body having a generally planar upper surface and a lower surface opposing the upper surface; and a pivotally movable retainer element coupled to the body and selectively positionable relative to the upper surface between an open position and a closed position, the pivotal retainer element having an upper side and a lower side opposing the upper side, wherein the upper side of the retainer element is generally parallel with the upper surface of the body when the retainer is in the closed position.
