The invention relates to a device (1) for conveying an object, in particular a vehicle body, along a treatment segment, comprising a transport carriage (2), which can be moved in a transport direction (R) along the treatment segment, having one or more roller elements (3) and having a drive (4) and a rotary shaft (5), to which a retainer (6) for the object to be treated is fixed. The rotary shaft (5) is mounted at a first end thereof on the transport carriage (2) and at the second end thereof has a rotatable support element (7). In order to achieve an effective stabilisation when conveying heavy objects, such as large vehicle bodies, along a treatment segment, according to the invention the drive (4) drives at least one roller element (3) and the rotatable support element (7) jointly. The invention further relates to a use of such a device (1) for dip-coating vehicle bodies. The invention further relates further to a method for conveying objects, in particular a vehicle body, along a treatment segment. |
