PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a suspicious person not carrying a portable device, by associating persons in a monitoring area with portable devices.SOLUTION: A moving object monitoring system for monitoring whether a moving object carries a portable device or not includes: object detection means which detects position information of a moving object in a monitoring area by sensing: portable device detection means which receives a radio signal transmitted from the portable device to detect position information of the portable device; and an association determination means which associates the moving object and the portable device with each other if the position information of the moving object and the position information of the portable device meet a prescribed criterion for coincidence. If the portable device associated with the moving object is not detected, the association determination means maintains association with the portable device on the condition that the moving object is in a specific moving state. Therefore, association is maintained even in a state where detection of the portable device is difficult due to the moving state of the moving object, and the moving object is prevented from being erroneously determined to not carry the portable device. |
