PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to confirm a print job state regardless of the environment.SOLUTION: A printing system comprises a printer and a display control device. The display control device comprises: a requirement reception section for receiving an acquisition requirement of a job state of a print job from an information processor; a state requirement section for requiring the acquisition of the job state of the printer; and a display control section for controlling to display the job state transmitted from the printer in the information processor. The printer comprises: a state acquisition section for acquiring the job state from a printer which executes the print job whose job state is required to acquire; and a state transmission section for transmitting the acquired job state to the display control device.
