PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system and a vehicular lighting system excellent in reliability.SOLUTION: A lighting system 1 in the embodiment includes a socket part 2, a light emission part 3, and a cover part 4. The light emission part 3 is provided in a storage portion 21 of the socket part 2, and has a light emitting element 31. The cover part 4 closes the storage portion 21 of the socket part 2, and has an opening 41 through which light delivered from the light emitting element 31 passes.
