PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong life of a battery module.SOLUTION: A cell balance device includes a controller and a cell balance circuit 23. Resistors 25 of the cell balance circuit 23 are connected in parallel to battery cells 11-15, respectively. Switching elements 26 are provided between the resistors 25 and the battery cells 11-15, respectively. In the case that charging amounts of the battery cells 11-15 are adjusted, the controller turns on the switching elements 26 to electrically connect the resistors 25 connected in parallel to the battery cells 11-15, with the respective battery cells 11-15, respectively. At this time, for a battery cell among the battery cells 11-15 having a higher temperature, an ON time period of its switching element 26 is set longer, and thereby, a discharge amount is made larger for a battery cell among the battery cells 11-15 having a higher temperature. |
