Provided in the embodiment of the present invention are a container name server and a container name analysis method. The container name server comprises: a network interface for receiving an analysis request packet sent by a network node, the analysis request packet comprising the container identification of a container to be analyzed; and an execution engine for acquiring the container identification of the accessed container of the container to be analyzed according to the container identification of the container to be analyzed. In the embodiment of the present invention, the container name server is introduced and used as a name analysis system in an ICN network, making it possible to solve such problems as expansibility and mobility support caused by routing based completely on a content name.
