摘要 <p>Provided is a transmission device such that deterioration of S/N ratio as well as a state in which demodulation is not possible due to reduction of frequency components can be prevented, without increasing manufacturing costs, by adjusting of occupied bandwidth per transmission rate. This transmission device (150) is capable of carrying out communications at multiple different transmission rates. A modulation unit (101) generates a modulated signal by modulating transmit data and adjusts the occupied bandwidth of the modulated signal within the pass-band of a channel selection filter per transmission rate. An occupied bandwidth control unit (102) outputs bandwidth setting information, whereby the occupied bandwidth becomes close to the bandwidth of the pass-band of the channel selection filter, to a modulation unit (101) on the basis of inputted transmission rate setting information. An RF transmission unit (103) transmits the occupied-bandwidth-adjusted modulated signal through an antenna (104).</p>
