PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire tester equipped with separating force holding means that is not only simpler but also more faithful in reproducing the rim width of (positioning) the tire.SOLUTION: A tire tester 1 is provided with a lower chuck 25 fitted to a lower frame 20, an upper chuck 45 fitted to a movable beam 40, ball screws 31a and 31b that move the movable beam 40 up and down, and beam fixing means 33a and 33b that fix the movable beam 40 to be unable to move upward. The beam fixing means 33a and 33b respectively comprise disks 34a and 34b having a plurality of long holes 60 and fixed to the ball screws 31a and 31b and air cylinders 35a and 35b fixed to vertical frames 30a and 30b and having pins 36a and 36b to be inserted into the long holes 60. Insertion of the pins 36a and 36b into the long holes 60 bored into the disks 34a and 34b fixes the upper chuck 45 to make it unable to move upward relative to the lower chuck 25 via the movable beam 40. |
