PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image display device that can control occurrence of ghost light while having a see-though function displaying external light and video light in an overlapped manner.SOLUTION: In a light guide member 10 guiding video light, a peripheral region formation part EP extending outside an effective luminous flux light guide part DP to be a region through which the effective luminous flux of the video light should be passed is provided, and thereby even if there is probability that ghost light resulting from a component generated by unintended reflection or diffusion is generated in a place such as a side surface formation part SP of the light guide member 10, the side surface formation part SP is separated from the effective luminous flux light guide part DP. |
