A motorized lift assembly for a window covering is provided with an operating and control device that can be mounted on or in proximity to the window covering for operating the motor of the window covering in response to user input. The operating and control device can include various features, including gesture recognition, object detection including sill detection, a capacitive touch sensor, and/or an accelerometer. The operating and control device can be included in the bottom rail of the window covering and is in two-way communication with control circuitry for the motor. |
