An impedance measuring device that outputs an alternating current signal at a prescribed frequency to each of a positive terminal and a negative terminal of a fuel cell comprises a detecting unit that detects potential difference in the alternating current from the positive terminal to a central point, and a modulating unit that modulates the amplitude of the alternating current signal in order to adjust a detection signal to a prescribed value. In addition, the device comprises an in-phase component extracting unit that extracts a resistance component of the detection signal by multiplying an in-phase signal by the detection signal, and a calculating unit that calculates the real-axis impedance on the positive terminal side on the basis of the resistance component of the detection signal and an output signal. Furthermore, the device comprises a quadrature component extracting unit that extracts a capacitance component of the detection signal by multiplying a quadrature signal by the detection signal, and a reproducing unit that reproduces a vector value for the detection signal on the basis of the extracted capacitance component and resistance component. The modulating unit modulates the amplitude of the alternating current signal so that the reproduced vector value is a prescribed value. |
