PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive-type crash protection device.SOLUTION: There is provided a device for switching a vehicular adaptive-type crash protection device (102), the crash protection device (102) comprising a crash tube (104). The crash protection device (102) further comprises: two tube clamp elements (108, 110) formed so as to deform the crash tube by tapering away when in a closed state, and to be shifted by the crash tube when in an open state; a lock pin (112) formed so as to hold the two tube clamp elements closed when in a locked position, and to place the two tube clamp elements in an open state when in a released position; an actuator (114) formed so as to move the lock pin from the locked position to the released position; and a hold element (116) formed so as to hold the two tube clamp elements closed when no impact force is applied to the crash tube. |
