PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses the situation in which: in a glossiness generating device, every time one glossy image is formed, a toner remains on a fixing belt even though paper jam is not generated, and when another glossy image is formed by using such a fixing belt, the remaining toner is attached to the glossy image, resulting in formation of defective image.SOLUTION: A glossiness generating device includes a recording medium conveying unit that conveys a recording medium having an image formed thereon, a heating unit that heats a portion of the recording medium conveying unit where the recording medium is not conveyed, and a toner removing unit that removes a toner attached to the recording medium conveying unit heated by the heating unit. |
