This light source unit is provided with a substrate and an attaching member. The substrate is formed in a long shape, and has a plurality of light emitting elements mounted thereon in the longitudinal direction. The attaching member has the substrate attached thereto in a state wherein the longitudinal direction of the attaching member is identical to that of the substrate, and the width direction of the attaching member is identical to that of the substrate. The substrate has a connecting section. The connecting section is mounted at an area, which is on one end side in the longitudinal direction of the substrate, and which is on one end side in the width direction of the substrate, and the connecting section has a cable attached thereto, said cable extending from a power supply apparatus. The attaching member has a first insertion hole. The first insertion hole is provided at an area, which is on the one end side in the longitudinal direction of the attaching member, and which is on the other end side in the width direction of the attaching member, and the first insertion hole has the cable inserted therein. The substrate is configured such that, in a state wherein the substrate is attached to the attaching member, the connecting section is disposed by being aligned with the first insertion hole in the width direction, and the first insertion hole is exposed to the light emitting element side. |
