<p>[Problem] To provide a resin composition for display substrates, which is obtained from a general-purpose diamine and a general-purpose acid dianhydride, and which is capable of forming a resin thin film that has high heat resistance, adequate flexibility and adequate linear expansion coefficient capable of withstanding the production process of a display. [Solution] A resin composition for display substrates, which contains a polyamic acid which contains at least 50% by mole of the three kinds of structural units represented by formula (1-1) in total, and which has a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 or more. (In the formula, Ar1 represents a divalent group represented by one of formulae (2)-(4); Ar2 represents a divalent group represented by formula (5); Ar3 represents a divalent group represented by formula (6); Ar4 represents a tetravalent group represented by formula (7) or (8); each of n1-n3 represents the number of each structural unit; and n1/(n2 + n3) = 2.0-9.0 and n2/n3 = 0.1-10 are satisfied.)</p> |
