The present application relates to an inner door panel 2 for a vehicle door 1. A perimeter portion 4 of the inner door panel 2 is provided for connection to an outer door panel 3. An integral anti-intrusion panel 11 is formed in a central section 5 of the inner door panel 2. One or more elongate concavities 9 having continuous surfaces are formed in an inner face 7 of the central section 5. A second elongate concavity 9 can optionally also be formed in the central section 2. Aspects relate to a vehicle door 1 and a method of fabricating a vehicle door 1. Preferably there are a first and a second elongate cavities 9, 10 where the first elongate cavity 9 has a first elongate axis X2 and the second elongate cavity 10 has a second elongate axis X1 where the first and second longitudinal axes X1, X2 are parallel and preferably horizontal. |
