The device has an output (17) to which an actuator sensor interface cable (7) is to be connected, and another output (16) to which another actuator sensor interface cable (6) is to be connected. A communication unit (13) is arranged for receiving process field network telegrams. A shut-off unit (8) is arranged for interrupting power supply provided at the former output and the latter output. A set of process field energy commands is received by the shut-off unit over the set of outputs to interrupt power supply. An independent claim is also included for a method for switching off a power supply of an actuator sensor-interface system.
