The method involves bringing a sub program associated to a main component (OB1) into execution in the main component. Program components (OB10, OB35, OB40, OB80) are associated to sub processors (2-7). Other sub programs associated to the program components are brought into execution in the sub processors. A control unit (11) is operated such that the control unit evaluates a processing priority (21) and results e.g. waking alarms, associated to the program components as input variables (20), and actively or inactively switches the sub processors based on the results. An independent claim is also included for an industrial controller. |
