The present disclosure relates to a method and device for controlling the display of an object in an electronic device. The method for controlling the display of an object in an electronic device may include a process of displaying a plurality of objects; a process of detecting the input of a pattern in order to change the shape or position of at least one of the objects; and a process of displaying the object after changing the shape or position of the at least one object by considering the pattern.
