摘要 The present invention, relating to an apparatus for processing an abnormal material and a method for processing an abnormal material, comprises: a primary sensor installed at a lower part of a transferring path for sensing whether the abnormal material is included in a raw material; a secondary sensor installed at the rear of the primary sensor with respect to a transferring direction in the transferring path for sensing whether the abnormal material is metallic; a selector installed at the rear of the secondary sensor for separating the metallic abnormal material from the raw material; and a controller for controlling the primary sensor, the secondary sensor and the selector, thereby, senses a load of the raw material, transferred along the transferring path, in real time via the primary sensor, determines that the abnormal material is included within the raw material in the case that the load of the raw material is more than or equal to a reference range, and then determines the metallicity of the abnormal material via the secondary sensor. Accordingly, the present invention, in the case that the abnormal material is metallic, separates the metallic abnormal material from the raw material while continuing to transfer the raw material, and, in the case that the abnormal material is not metallic, stops a raw material transferring facility and removes the abnormal material, so enhances productivity of the facility because it is unnecessary to stop the transferring facility whenever the abnormal material is sensed. Additionally, the present invention easily detects the abnormal material regardless of the type of the conveyor belt, which is the transferring facility, because the primary sensor measures and senses the load of the raw material under the raw material.
