The industrial truck has an exchangeable battery block and a battery compartment incorporating the battery block. The battery compartment has a lateral access opening for pushing in and for pulling the battery block. A base of the battery compartment has guide paths in battery movable direction, on which the battery block is movably supported with a support element provided relative to the battery compartment. The battery compartment base (10) has multiple roll accommodating openings, in which temporarily assigned rollers (20) are inserted to the battery compartment base.
