PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein complex operation and enormous cost and time are required when measuring environmental chemicals, and further such the method cannot be applied to new kinds of the environmental chemicals which are not specified. SOLUTION: The method for researching the pollution of an animal involves researching an inverted sex-inducing type gene group derived by an inverted sex hormone in the male and female of a tested animal. The inverted sex-inducing type gene group may be the gene group induced and expressed in a hepatic cell. In another aspect, the inverted sex-inducing type gene group may be a cytochrome P450(CYP) isozyme gene group.
