<p>The method involves determining overloading state of a battery module (EB) using dependence of characteristic values by applying open-circuit voltage between terminals of the battery module. First and second actuators (A1, A2) are connected to the battery module. An unloading device is connected with a discharging device, where the unloading device is activated by a current bypass unit in an area of the battery module. The current bypass is deactivated if a characteristic value falls below threshold value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a controller (2) an intrinsically safe battery module.</p> |
