The present invention relates to a water-soluble polyester resin compound and a method for preparing the same. The method for preparing a water-soluble polyester resin compound of the present invention is characterized by a composition comprising: a first step where 3.0 to 10.0 mol% of neopentyl glycol component is added based on the total acid component of polyester, and bis hydroxy ethylene terephthalate or a low polymer thereof is formed by making diol components including ethylene glycol react with heat; a second step where 3.0 to 15.0 mol% of dicarboxylic acid represented by the following chemical formula 1 having a sulfonate group at the drop part of an organic unit, and capable of being copolymerized among polymer chains based on the total acid component of polyester; and a third step where a polycondensation reaction occur by using a catalyst of the ternary system comprising an aluminum compound, a lithium compound and a zinc compound. Here, M is an alkali metal. The water-dispersible polyester resin composition constructed in the present invention includes no antimony, thereby requiring no concern about causing toxicity, and the polyester resin exhibits outstanding abrasion resistance and adhesion power and significantly improves water-dispersibility and hydrolysis resistance so that the composition of the present invention can be useful for a film adhesive. |
