摘要 Generating a depth map for a scene, identifying a plurality of principal key depths within the scene using the depth map, capturing a 2D image at a focus position for each of the principal depths, determining a depth correspondence between the 2D images and principal depth by associating each coordinate in the 2D images with a principal depth that is closest to an actual depth of the coordinate and, for each of a plurality of regions of interest in the scene, generating a 3D stereoscopic view by creating a right image and a left image using pixel translation/rotation transformation mapping. The eye gaze of a user on the scene may be detected to identify the region of interest and the gaze and corresponding region of interest may change. A plurality of regions of interest may be determined based on detecting positions of an input device within the scene. The depth map may be determined using a depth from focus (DFF) or a depth from defocus (DFD) algorithm and may be divided into rectangles and a depth histogram generated. A plurality of monoscopic images are converted in a stereoscopic image using multi-focus 2D images.
