A photocatalytic reactor stator 218 comprises: a first surface and an opposing second surface, and at least one channel 230 extending between the first surface and the second surface to allow fluid flow through the stator, wherein the at least one channel is configured to redirect the flow of the fluid in a direction substantially parallel to the first and/or second surface to move phone to catalytic particles across the first and/or second surface of the stator. The channels may have an at least partially curved shape profile or a substantially inverted L-shaped profile, generally S shaped or an inverted J-shaped profile. A photocatalytic reactor and method of carrying out a photocatalytic reaction using the stator are also disclosed. |
