Miniature fuse and method of fabrication therefor

The miniature fuse (10) has an electrically conducting contacting element and housing made up of electrically conducting material. The contact element has two contact areas (22,24) spaced from each other and a melting area arranged between the contact areas. The contact area has a positioning area (32), which intervenes in housing according to the receiving geometry (30) in form fit manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing of a miniature fuse.
