Method of manufacturing product filled containers

The method for forming a plastic container (14) comprises the steps of:
providing and heating a plastic preform (10);
locating the preform within a mold (24) having cavity surfaces (28) defining a cavity (30);
heating an end product (34) to an elevated temperature;
introducing the heated end product (34) into the heated preform to at least partially cause the heated preformed to expand into contact with the cavity surfaces (28) and to conform with the shape of the cavity (30), thereby forming the resultant container (12) filled with the heated end product, the resultant container having a first size;
removing the resultant container (12) from within the mold;
capping the resultant container (12) with the heated end product therein to form a capped container;
shrinking the capped container to a second size, the second size being smaller than the first size.
