Provided is a liquid crystal display device which can enhance response speed and brightness at the same time. The liquid crystal display device includes: a first insulation substrate; pixel electrodes which are formed on the first insulation substrate, are divided into multiple domains and include fine uneven stripes arranged side by side on each domain in a predetermined direction; a second insulation substrate facing the first insulation substrate; common electrodes which are formed on the second insulation substrate and are not patterned; and a liquid crystal layer which is arranged between the first and second insulation substrates and is made of liquid crystal molecules vertically aligned when there is no electric field applied on the first and second insulation substrates. When an electric field is applied on the liquid crystal layer, the liquid crystal molecules are tilted to the direction of the fine uneven stripes.
