The present invention relates to a power outlet device automatically cutting off standby power of a remote-controlled electronics device and a control method thereof. When a remote-controlled electronics device is used, an existing power outlet for automatically cutting off standby power continuously supplies power to a remote-controlled electronics device to allow a user to turn the device on by a remote control. Accordingly, the standby power of the electronics device is consumed as things stand. In addition, the existing power outlet for cutting off the standby power cannot detect power consumption of the power outlet itself, thereby wasting electric power. In general, a remote control is cumbersome to configure through a learning mode since every remote-controlled device uses its own remote signals. Besides, even after configuration is finished, the user has to press a power switch of the remote control twice - the first to supply electric power to the electronics device from the power outlet and the second to turn the electronics device on. To solve above problems, the power outlet device of the present invention makes power consumption wasted as standby power and the standby power be zero without needing to pull out a plug, cuts off the power consumption of the power outlet itself completely, and enables electric power to be supplied when a user presses a power switch of a remote control only once to turn an electronics device on without configuring a learning mode of the remote control. The power outlet of the present invention cuts off the standby power of the electronics device and the power consumption of the power outlet itself completely when the electronics device is turned off. Therefore, the power outlet of the present invention allows the user to reduce an electricity bill and environmental pollution by suppressing excessive CO2 emissions caused by electricity generation. |
