A method for the treatment of eyelid dermatitis and/or dermatitis of the periorbital area, which comprises applying to the eyelid and/or periorbital area, respectively, of a subject in need of such treatment, an anti-inflammatory effective amount of a dermatological composition comprising loteprednol etabonate and a dermatologically acceptable carrier therefor, said method being carried out at a dosage level of loteprednol etabonate of from about 0.2% to about 0.5% by weight of the composition once a day for five days per week for four weeks. |
