Branched block polymers, and the rubber compositions containing them, which can be used, in particular, for manufacturing tires or semi-finished products for tires. Processes for preparing said polymers and compositions are also disclosed.

A block elastomer comprising at least two main linear diene polymer chains joined together by a group having a heteroatom chosen from the group composed of Si, Sn, Ge, Pb, and P, derived from a coupling agent, or by a radical derived from a difunctional, non-polymerizable, electrophilic coupling agent, and having at each of their other ends a polymacromonomer block that is formed of a plurality of grafts made of macromoner units, wherein each of the grafts is a linear diene polymer chain, and wherein the block elastomer has a diblock pattern.
