APPARATUS FOR WIDEBAND VARIABLE TRUE-TIME DELAY

A wideband variable time delay device is disclosed. The wideband variable time delay device is a trombone type variable time delay device in which a plurality of active switches are connected between input and output transmission lines to form different time delays. The trombone type variable time delay device exhibits wideband characteristics by absorbing a parasitic capacitance component caused by each switch using the transmission line and forms a variable time delay by turning on the active switches one after another. The wideband variable time delay device is formed by adjusting characteristic impedance of the input transmission line while configuring the switch, which forms a longer time delay, to have a larger amplification gain. Through the above constitution, since output levels for delay time settings becomes uniform, the variable time delay device can have a constant output level despite different time delays.
