Disclosed is a light radiation type heating apparatus. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a light radiation type heating apparatus which heat-treats to press and form a steel plate includes a case installed at a press processing line, and having an opened upper portion and a supporting edge formed along an inner side surface of the opened portion to support an edge of a material transferred from a transfer device; a plurality of lamp units having a lamp to be stored in such a way that a light emitting portion of the lamp faces an upper portion of the case; and a controller recognizing a specification of the transferred material to determine a temperature of heating and a time duration of heating, and setting a heating position to separately supply and control power sources of the lamp units.
