In the method for preventing fretting occurring in a joint between contact surfaces (2, 6) of two parts (1, 5), which are clamped together in a manner causing deformation of the contact surfaces (2, 6), while not being clamped together with the second part (5), the contact surface (2) of the first part (1) is deformed to simulate the shape of the contact surface (2) in the clamped state, and while keeping the contact surface (2) in the deformed state, the contact surface (2) is reshaped to eliminate the effect of the deformation on the shape of the contact surface (2). |
