The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for managing a list in an electronic device. The list management method for the electronic device includes the steps of: displaying a list; checking whether a scroll occurs on the list; checking if there are one or more items satisfying a reference condition to display a shortcut on the upper part of the list when a scroll occurs on the list; and displaying the shortcut for the items satisfying the reference condition on the upper part of the list when there is at least one item satisfying the reference condition.
