ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DISPLAY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescent display is as follows. A first substrate having a pixel region and a non-pixel region is prepared, a first electrode is formed on the pixel region, an organic light emitting layer is formed on the first electrode, and a second electrode is formed on the organic light emitting region. An auxiliary layer is formed on the non-pixel region with an opening to expose a part of the second electrode through the opening, and a metal buffer layer is formed on the exposed part of the second electrode by providing metallic material toward the first substrate. An auxiliary electrode is formed on a second substrate, the metal buffer layer and the auxiliary electrode are in contact by coupling the first substrate and the second substrate, and the auxiliary electrode is electrically connected to the second electrode through the metal buffer layer.
