The purpose of the present invention is to maintain necessity strength, rigidity, and durability with a simple configuration while reducing a space occupied in an engine room and a plate thickness; to reduce the number of processes and waste of materials; to mitigate stress concentration and deformation during a bending or fixing process and thereby prevent eccentric load or bolt loosening during the fixing process; and to prevent an increase in vibration and noise during use and thus mitigate burden on repair and maintenance works and improve universality. To achieve the purpose, the present invention provides a chain guide (100) that is provided with a base member (120) which supports a guide shoe (110), wherein the base member (120) has a base installation portion (122) and a base side wall portion that is formed for the guide shoe (110) to be inserted from both sides in a width direction, and the guide shoe (110) has a guide shoe installation portion (114) at a position separated from the base installation portion (122) in a chain traveling direction. |
