MULTI-GRID METHOD AND APPARATUS USING V CYCLE

Disclosed is a multi-grid method using a V cycle. The multi-grid method using a V cycle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a pre-smoothing step for smoothing a cell having a fine level to calculate a first intermediate value and a first residual; a restriction step for down-sampling the cell having the fine level to calculate a cell having a coarse level and setting the first residual as a second residual of the cell having the coarse level; a middle smoothing step for calculating a high-frequency component value of the cell having the fine level and smoothing the high-frequency component value to calculate a smoothed high-frequency component value; an operation step for calculating a coarse value from the cell having the coarse level; a prolongation step for up-sampling the coarse value to transfer the up-sampled coarse value to the cell having the fine level, and adding the first intermediate value, the smoothed high-frequency component value and the coarse value to calculate a corrected intermediate value; and a post-smoothing step for smoothing the corrected intermediate value to calculate a second intermediate value.
