This device relates to an information processing device which efficaciously counts articles of a plurality of types which are exhibited upon exhibit shelves in the depth direction, for each type. An information processing device comprises: an exhibit number acquisition unit which acquires exhibit number information of articles, using an article presence sensor which is disposed upon an exhibit shelf whereupon the articles are placed; an article identification unit which acquires article identification information whereby it is possible to identify article types on the basis of an image which is acquired by photographing the exhibit shelf; and an exhibit recognition unit which recognizes how many articles are exhibited, on the basis of the exhibit number information and the article identification information.
