Fluorine-containing calcium composite particles comprising an aggregate of a fluorine-containing alcohol CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cOH (n is an integer from 1 to 6; a is an integer from 1 to 4; b is an integer from 0 to 3; and c is an integer from 1 to 3) and a calcium compound; and fluorine-containing calcium composite particles comprising a condensate of a fluorine-containing alcohol RF-A-OH or HO-A-RF'-A-OH (RF is a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group which can include an O, S, or N atom or is a polyfluoroalkyl group having a portion of the fluorine atoms of the perfluoroalkyl group substituted with hydrogen atoms; RF' is a linear or branched perfluoroalkylene group including an O, S, or N atom; and A is a C1-6 alkylene group) with alkoxysilane and a calcium compound. The latter fluorine-containing calcium composite particles can be used as the active component of a water and oil repellent.
