<p>[Problem] To provide a technique for recovering valuable substances from recovered solids produced during a titanium-containing-feedstock chlorination step. In particular, to provide a technique that can efficiently separate out and recover chlorine gas and a titanium-containing feedstock from said recovered solids. [Solution] A titanium-tetrachloride manufacturing method that has a chlorination step in which a titanium-containing feedstock, coke, and chlorine are reacted. Said titanium-tetrachloride manufacturing method is characterized in that: said method also has a recovery step in which chlorine gas, titanium oxide, and coke are recovered by treating solid by-products recovered from the chlorination step; and these recovered substances are reused as feedstocks for manufacturing the titanium tetrachloride.</p> |
